London’s legendary hospitality king Robin Birley has added a bakery to his soon-to-be-international empire. Dubbed — what else? — Birley Bakery, he’s tapped executive pastry chef Vincent Zanardi to serve up his take on traditional French boulangerie fare: think delicate pastries, freshly-baked breads, fine chocolates, hearty sandwiches and takeaway coffees, all served up in London’s budding epicurean hot-spot, Chelsea Green.

Closer to home, insiders say Birley has his sights set on Palm Beach: Reportedly, he’s in talks to open up a local outpost of his famous London members club 5 Hertford Street — home to the extremely-exclusive hotspot Loulou’s — in the former Chesterfield Hotel, which was recently purchased by the U.K.’s Reuben brothers. The property is slated for a gut renovation and will reopen sometime in 2025; we’re keeping a sharp eye to see if Birley’s magic nightlife touch will come along with it.
