An intimate group of 50 fashionable Valentino devotees were invited for lunch and a conversation between PALMER’s Stefano Tonchi and noted fashion influencer Hanan Besovic, who had recently returned from the European Collections. Included in the talk were some of Tonchi’s memories of Valentino Garavani himself, the legendary history of the storied brand and a peek at the most recent collection.

Among the attendees at the exclusive Carriage House in Palm Beach was Valentino CEO Daniel Paltridge, who invited guests to their Worth Avenue store to view the latest collection and receive a copy of the book, Valentino ROSSO (Assouline, 2022).

No one understands the color red quite like Valentino. In a sweeping celebration and exploration of the Italian Maison’s relationship with the color, Rosso Valentino mines more than fifty years of one of fashion’s most meticulously preserved archives for a definitive catalogue raisonné featuring more than 180 of Maison Valentino’s most iconic dresses and accessories, from legendary silk ball gowns and haute couture chiffon creations to nappa calfskin “Rockstud” slingbacks and VLogo Signature buckle belts with antique brass finishes. Spanning the eras of Valentino Garavani to the current creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, the book illustrates Valentino’s unparalleled connection to one of the world’s most passionate, seductive, powerful, and culturally symbolic colors.
