It’s not often that a furniture company commissions an elusive fashion photographer to shoot a coffee table book, but the luxury design brand Poliform has—as a gesture of moving beyond its own realm to forge connections with leaders of other creative fields—initiated a dialogue with Italian photographer Paolo Roversi and created Incontri, a conceptual and stunning slipcased, clothbound book.

For this initiative, Poliform built a studio in its headquarters exclusively for Roversi to explore the brand’s innovative designs and shoot portraits of models Malaika Holmen, Hyun Seo, and Caterina Ravaglia interacting with them, giving Poliform’s sofas, chairs, and tables a soulful humanity. And, as a book, Poliform and Roversi have created a uniquely touching object in itself.

Poliform, which has collaborated with many international creative innovators, trusted Roversi to illustrate not just its product but to illuminate the broader culture of the brand’s artistic, timelessly elegant presence on the design scene.

The book is available on Poliform’s website.
