When temperatures rise in the highest season of summer, both New Yorkers and Palm Beachers escape to the Hamptons. This past July, fashion brands from Zegna to Chanel kept the party going with luncheons, cocktails, dinners, and concerts. In case you missed them, PALMER rounded up the best events of the season so far.

Though technically taking place on the last day of June, Zegna and Mr Porter celebrated the Fourth of July and toasted to the brand’s Italian style and craftsmanship at East Hampton’s sprawling Longhouse Reserve sculpture park. The event was co-hosted by Zegna’s Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori and Mr Porter’s Alison Loehnis—along with Zegna ambassador and Succession star Kieran Culkin.

Loro Piana on Shelter Island

Hannah Bronfman and Brendan Fallis

Loro Piana celebrated its Resort 2023 collection with a cocktail and dinner at Chef Yann Nury’s charming Shelter Island summer pop-up. Guests—including Will Arnett, Richard Christiansen, and Sally Singer—mingled and discovered the brand’s new Art de La Table Collection, which features fabric accessories like placemats, napkins, and runners, plus cups, plates, small bowls and large serving bowls handmade in Italy of bone porcelain.

Aerin Lauder and Architectural Digest Dinner

Aerin Lauder and Amy Astley

To celebrate Aerin Lauder’s cover of Architectural Digest—where she opens the doors to her Louis XVI–style home in Palm Beach—the Estée Lauder scion and AD Editor-in-Chief Amy Astley hosted an intimate dinner at Aerin’s residence in Wainscott, New York. Guests included notables from the worlds of art, design, fashion, and philanthropy, like Katie Lee Biegel, Nick Brown, Stephen Sills, Elizabeth Saltzman, Indré Rockefeller, Alina Cho, Pamela Hanson, Kelly Klein, Lizzie Tisch, Jon Tisch, and Richard duPont.

The Parrish Midsummer Dance and Dinner

Ivy Getty and Laurence Milstein

More than 800 guests attended the Parrish Art Museum’s Midsummer Dance and Dinner in Southampton honoring Katharina Otto-Bernstein, Fred & Robin Segal, and artists Eddie Martinez, Sam Moyer, and Hank Willis Thomas. The two events raised more than $1.2 million for the museum’s programs and education initiatives. The dance was Co-Chaired by Ivy Getty and Laurence Milstein, while on Saturday, Parrish Director Dr. Mónica Ramírez-Montagut introduced Parrish Trustees and dinner Co-Chairs Aliya LeeKong and Deborah F. Bancroft. Jennifer Wright of Christie’s led a paddle raise in support of the museum’s programs, exhibitions, and education initiatives.

Poolside with Valentino

To celebrate the Valentino Escape capsule collection, the brand hosted a poolside luncheon in the Hamptons. The collection is fit for the scorching summer ahead, and guests including Emma Roberts, Candace Bushnell, Kenneth and Maria Fishel, and Sarah Hoover cooled off with raffia, logo-emblazoned fans while flipping through the colorful kaftans, beachwear, and accessories.

A Musical Evening with Chanel

Coco Rocha and Melodie Monrose

More than 200 guests converged on the lawn at Moby’s in East Hampton to enjoy Chanel’s traveling concert series, Chanel Summer Tour. The atmosphere was laid-back—albeit still very Chanel—with food stations instead of a formal dinner. Music was curated by Caroline de Maigret and Vivienne Rohner, and guests including Sadie Sink, Chloe Wise, and Natalie Massenet, tuned in wearing the latest Chanel collections.
