The Fragrance Foundation has announced its 2024 award-winning fragrances, and some PALMER favorites made the list.

Guerlain’s Tabacco Honey Eau de Parfum, from L’Art & La Matière Collection, was crowned “Perfume Extraordinaire.” The prize is awarded to a fragrance in honor of its craftsmanship, aesthetic beauty and olfactory intensity. Created by in-house perfumer, Delphine Jelk—a graduate of the prestigious Grasse Institute of Perfumery—Tobacco Honey is a bold scent with notes of (as you may have guessed) honey and tobacco.

Valentino took home the “Fragrance of the Year: Women’s Luxury” award for its Born in Roma Donna Eau de Parfum Intense. Launched in 2019, the amber floral fragrance is a women’s perfume inspired by Rome. Created by the über-talented Honorine Blanc and Amandine Clerc-Marie, it combines one of the most luxurious ingredients in perfumery, jasmine sambac, with woody cashmeran, and a rich, leathery vanilla bourbon. The bottle pays tribute to the iconic Valentino Rockstud. This edgy pyramidal design, inspired by Roman architecture, is a house signature of the Maison. It is made even more modern thanks to the contrast of black leather with vivid pink.

Hermès un Jardin à Cythère Eau de Toilette — a citrus and woody fragrance from the Parfums-Jardins Collection was awarded “Fragrance of the Year—Universal Prestige.”  Created by Swiss perfumer Christine Nagel, who has worked in-house for the French luxury brand since 2016, it combines notes of grass with olive wood and fresh pistachio, and bottled in a design inspired by the lines of a horse-draw carriage lantern with luminous yellow glass which echoes its sunny scent.
