The 2024 US Open kicks off next week, and a surprising amount of action is taking place off the courts. To get you in the swing of things, here’s a primer on what’s new, and what’s returning.

Ralph Lauren Returns as the Official Outfitter

For the 19th year in a row, Ralph Lauren is outfitting dressing the on-court officials, including chair umpires, line umpires, and the ball crew members. As in recent years, the collection is made with yarns from recycled plastic bottles. The label is also working with Wilson to collect the plastic tennis ball cans used during the Open for future recycled fabrics.

2024 US Open

Additionally, the brand is offering a commemorative US Open collection, which will be available on-site and online during the tournament. However, this year the brand is also offering the 2024 Pink Pony capsule collection exclusively on-site at the Open ahead of its fall release. A percentage of the sales will benefit programs for cancer screenings, early treatment, research and patient navigation.

Culinary Stars Are Providing Dining Options

World class tennis requires world class food options. As in past years, the grounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center will offer an array of dining options that are sure to delight.

Restaurateur Simon Kim—whose Gracious Hospitality Management is behind Manhattan’s Michelin-starred COTE Korean Steakhouse—is making his US Open debut. The food spot, COQODAQ, will feature Korean fried chicken. A highlight is a chicken nugget dish paired with caviar called “The Golden Nugget.”

Finally, Michelin-starred Chef Ed Brown, Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, and James Beard Award-winning Chef Kwame Onwuachi are teaming up again for Aces.

Rounding out the culinary options are Pat LaFrieda Meat, Champions by Benjamin’s Steakhouse, San Matteo NYC, Dos Toros Taqueria, La Casa de Masa, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Fuku, Eataly, Crown Shy, Korilla BBQ and Poke Yachty, Hill Country BBQ, King Souvlaki, Stacked Sandwich Shop, The Migrant Kitchen, The Nourish Spot, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, and the Dobel Tequila Club.

Winners Receive a Trophy From Tiffany & Co.

While winners don’t get to keep the official US Open trophies, they do receive a scale replica crafted by Tiffany & Co. The brand has been the official crafter of the trophies since 1987. Each one takes nearly five months to make. Tiffany & Co. will have an activation on site this year where fans can see the trophies for themselves.

The 2024 US Open takes place from August 26 to September 8. Tickets are available now. Click here for more information.
