Leave it to a cultural center to master the fine art of throwing a party. On Saturday, the Southampton Arts Center celebrated the 2024 SummerFest Gala. Now in its ninth year, PALMER was one of the sponsors. The night honored Jamee and Peter Gregory as the 2024 Champions of the Arts Award winners for their leadership in the Southampton community. The gala, which was co-chaired by Audrey and Martin Gruss, Karen and Richard LeFrak, Simone and David Levinson, and Hilary and Wilbur Ross, raised over $700,000 for the institution’s year-round programming.

The night kicked off with a cocktail reception featuring tasting menu from top Hamptons restaurants. It was followed by dinner, catered by Acquolina, which was served in the garden. Jamee Gregory thanked the crowd for her award on behalf of herself and her husband, Peter, afterwhich guests were treated to performances by Tony Award-winner Adrienne Warren and Broadway star and recording artist Jessica Vosk.

Attendees included Mayor Bill Manger, John Paulson and Alina de Almeida, Kara Ross, Ginger and Larry Leeds, Mai Harrison, Sylvia Hemingway, Jane Holzer, Marigay McKee and Fred Powers, Roberta Amon, Ann and Keith Barish, Kim Heirston, Candace Bushnell, Fern Mallis, Chris and Richard MackUgo Rondinone, Peter Thomas Roth, Nicole and Allen Salmasi, J. Whitney Stevens, PALMER Editorial Director Stefano Tonchi and Edwina von Gal, Christine and Whitney Schott, Wynn Burson-Cateron, Sharon Jacob, Marcy and Michael Warren, and Bettina Zilkha.
