The restoration of the historic Gulfstream Hotel in Lake Worth Beach is well underway—but could it come with a luxurious expansion as well?

When CDS International bought the landmarked property in 2019, bringing on partner Restoration St. Louis, it also purchased the property next door. This week, the prestigious Palm Beach architecture firm Fairfax & Sammons (helmed by Anne Fairfax and Richard Sammons), released their concept for how the building could be expanded.

”Fairfax & Sammons, which loves this little community and wants to see new historic architecture in this beautiful walkable downtown, got busy and took the initiative to design it’s own proposal for a new annex, believing that Lake Worth deserves the highest quality design,” the firm posted to Instagram.

The Gulfstream Hotel first opened in 1925, but has been vacant since 2005. Groundbreaking on the restoration began this May as part of the Marriott Tribute Portfolio.
