The great culinary march continues from New York to West Palm Beach as Related Ross just announced that perennial favorite Eataly is the latest food emporium set to debut next fall. Slated for the historic Harriet Himmel Theater at City Place it will feature sit-down restaurants, quick-service counters, and a specialty market stocked with imported Italian goods.
Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America, shared his excitement by, stating, “We’re incredibly excited to enter the South Florida market and look forward to bringing the Italian art of living to the West Palm Beach community at CityPlace.” Brusò highlighted CityPlace as an ideal location, describing it as a lifestyle destination that blends retail, art, design, and cuisine.
The announcement comes on the heels of recent news that Eataly’s first Florida location will open at Aventura Mall in spring 2025. These Florida additions are part of Eataly’s ambitious global expansion, which has seen the brand grow to more than 50 locations across 15 countries, including Italy, Canada, and South Korea.
Gopal Rajegowda, executive vice president of Related Ross, commented on the collaboration, emphasizing that the Harriet Himmel building “is an ideal location for Eataly’s Italian market and restaurant concept, which will honor the rich heritage of CityPlace’s long-standing community center while also introducing a new, must-visit gastronomic destination for locals and visitors alike.”
With twelve North American locations and operations in countries such as the UAE, Japan, Germany, and Saudi Arabia, Eataly continues its mission to expand into key urban centers worldwide, now including South Florida in its lineup of vibrant, experiential marketplaces.
