An ongoing list of some of our favorite people. This week is all about athletes.

Coco Gauff
In Palm Beach, tennis is more than a sport—it’s a point of pride. Naturally, the town could not be more thrilled with Gauff, who at 20 is already a tennis-world phenom. She made history earlier this year as the first tennis player to be a US flag bearer at the Paris Olympics (and the youngest person to do so). And just this month, she won the WTA singles championship in Saudi Arabia. With the season under way in Palm Beach, everyone is excited to see how the Delray Beacher will fare in 2025.

Tiger Woods
Arguably the most famous golfer in modern history, Woods needs no introduction. But the World Golf Hall of Fame-er is also quite famous in south Florida for his various business and philanthropic ventures. Earlier this year, Woods opened a new location of his mini golf course and restaurant, PopStroke, in West Palm Beach (a location in Delray Beach opened in 2023). He’s also been an ardent supporter of The Park in West Palm Beach, as part of his dedication to youth and education. Meanwhile, the Tiger Woods foundation continues to thrive, and he is also a part-owner and team member of Jupiter Links Golf Club, which infuses the sport new technology.

Laura Kraut
Wellington is one of the premiere training and sporting ground for equestrians of all stripes—especially Olympians. Kraut is among the most decorated show jumpers, with four Olympic games (and a handful of medals) under her belt. Her most recent win came this summer at the Paris games, where she and Team USA took home the silver in show jumping. The odds are strong that we’ll again see her riding in L.A. in 2028. In the meantime, she can be seen training back home in Wellington.
