As part of its signature Lifestyle Series with The Boca Raton, PALMER partnered with St. Gallen-based fashion house Akris to host a fashion show and conversation as part of its Women with Purpose initiative with local business owner and philanthropist Danielle Rosse. The event was organized exclusively for members of The Boca Raton Club.

“Akris, which remains a family-owned business, just celebrated its 100 year anniversary last year,” offered PALMER’s Editorial Director Stefano Tonchi. “It was founded by a woman, Alice Kreiemler-Schoch, so it’s very fitting that we are celebrating women with purpose here tonight.”

The evening commenced with a cocktail hour in The Boca Raton’s Five- Star Spa Palmera, where guests shopped from the luxury label’s latest bags, coats and jackets, as well as a selection of printed cashmere scarves and horsehair necklaces. Ten percent of the night’s proceeds went to Rosse’s charity of choice, Best Foot Forward

When asked by Tonchi what the greatest challenge she faced as a woman working in the male-dominated restaurant industry, Rosse replied, “you just can’t take no for an answer. Make your own seat at the table and do the work, consistently.”

The fashion presentation featured highlights from Akris’ Cruise and Spring/Summer 2025 collections. Models circled the Spa Palmera’s beautifully lighted pool in rich metallic evening suits, classic crepe tailoring, techy sportswear and novelty dresses made of embroidered tulle. The final piece, a bronze sequined evening dress, drew gasps from the crowd as it glinted against the backdrop of the night sky — a perfect choice for New Year’s Eve.
