West Palm Beach’s growth is so exciting, it’s starting to get national attention. Recently, TripAdvisor named the city its number one trending U.S. travel destination for 2025.
Of course, this isn’t a surprise to Floridians. As William D. Cohan reported for PALMER Vol. 1, West Palm Beach has undergone a rapid transformation in the past few years. “West Palm is a glaring opportunity,” a hedge fund manager who relocated his family to the area told PALMER at the time. “[It] will be unrecognizable at the end of the decade.”
“The stronger that West Palm Beach is, and the more sound, safe, and secure that West Palm Beach is, the more attractive that Palm Beach becomes,” added Mayor Keith James.
Last fall, the Palm Beach County Commission approved a major five-acre land donation for a Vanderbilt University campus. And Bal Harbour Shops — the chic Miami shopping destination — brought its Access Pop-Up Tour to Related Ross’s CityPlace in November. This is in addition to major projects like the retail Nora District and Flamingo Park’s Restaurant Row.
Meanwhile, there has been a swath of ultra-luxury residential projects in the works, including the Olara, Mr C Residences, and South Flagler House.
With every passing week, West Palm Beach continues to solidify itself as “Wall Street South.”
