The Cox Science Center and Aquarium ended the season with a bang. Last week, the CSCA hosted its annual Visionary Dinner to celebrate its new and longtime supporters. Over the course of the evening, two major new donations were announced. Specifically, $5 million from Jodi Oh and her family, which will go towards the expansion of the Lobby for Discover, and $1 million from Allison and Donald Gulbrandsen, which will help with the construction of the Cypress Wetlands in the Everglades Exhibit.

The event was held at the Center. Guests, including lead benefactors Wendy and Howard Cox, enjoyed cocktails in the aquarium before moving outside for an alfresco dinner. “As we look ahead, there are no boundaries to the impact that our transformational expansion will have on countless lives,” said CSCA board chair, Eric Stonestrom. We will expand our reach, and revolutionize science education for all students, while inspiring and empowering a rising generation of leaders – many who will be our future scientists, engineers, computer experts and AI innovators.”
