Last week, Palm Beach animals in need were honored with a spring fundraiser of their own. The Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League held its annual Happy Tails event at The Park West Palm Beach. Chaired by Mish Tworkowski and Hillary Thomas, the event raised over $440,000 for dogs and cats in need. Additionally, the evening featured 21 puppies and dogs available for adoption.
“This was a joyful evening filled with support and love for the animals,” said Sue Berry, CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “As we celebrate our 100th anniversary year, we are especially grateful for the generosity of our donors. Because of them, Peggy Adams is the most valuable community resource in Palm Beach for pets and the people that love them. In the past year, we were able to serve over 35,000 animals through our various programs, thanks to our amazing supporters.”
Among the 200 guests were The Hon. Danielle Moore, The Hon. Lesly Smith, Emilia and J. Pepe Fanjul, Sr., Emilia Pfeifler, Pauline Pitt, Callie Baker Holt, Anne and Chris Flowers, Connie and Peter Lacaillade, Jane Lauder, Ted Cooney, Ellen and Michael Merriman, Todd Peter, Sharon Bush and Bob Murray, and Joseph Singer.
