As Aspen Art Week reaches its final stretch, Jamie Tisch—collector, philanthropist, and perennial fixture on the cultural circuit—shares her take on the moments that stood out. From gallery visits to the buzz around ArtCrush, she offered Palmer her personal highlights: what caught her eye, what she won’t forget, and the art she’s still thinking about…
Caroline Polachek’s acoustic performance on the Aspen Art Museum roof
Watching Caroline perform as the sun set over the mountains was pure magic—intimate, otherworldly, and unforgettable.
Matthew Barney’s “TACTICAL parallax” performance at McCabe Ranch
Only Matthew Barney could turn a remote barn into a mythical arena—this performance was raw, elemental, and completely transporting.
ArtCrush 20th Anniversary Auction
The energy in the room during the live auction is electric—seeing the community come together in support of artists is always deeply moving. I love the Harold Ancart!
Sanford Biggers Unsui (Mirror) sculpture in Paepcke Park. Co-commissioned by Buckhorn Public Arts and Desert X
Unsui features two towering sequin sculptures set against the expansive sky. Clouds, a recurring motif in Biggers’ work, symbolize freedom, boundlessness, and interconnection and movement. Glistening in the mountain light, they inspire a sense of eternity and elevation.
Ashlee Harrison‘s lunch for Design Miami Aspen at Jen Rubio‘s house with friends was another highlight of the week!
