Last Sunday, a sea of yellow shirts took over the streets of Southampton as the Race of Hope returned for its annual 5K run–walk around Lake Agawam, in support of mental health awareness and research.

Organized by the Hope for Depression Research Foundation, the event drew families, philanthropists, runners, and supporters for a morning of movement and meaning—raising both funds and visibility for a cause that touches every community. With founder Audrey Gruss leading the charge, the race blended purpose with summertime spirit in true East End fashion.

This year also marked the tenth anniversary of the event, with a lineup of honorary grand marshals, among them pop-culture insider and advocate Alexa Ray Joel, who is leading the charge alongside founding chair Audrey Gruss.
