On Wednesday, September 10, architect Peter Marino hosted an intimate gathering at Dior’s new flagship at 23 East 57th Street, welcoming friends of the House to toast the boutique’s recent opening. Notable guests included Anna Sawai, Priyanka Chopra, Sam Nivola, and Will Price, alongside art-world fixture Mickalene Thomas, and PALMER’s Editorial Director Stefano Tonchi. Across Park Avenue, the Helmsley Building lit up with a celebratory projection, a high-rise salute to Dior’s long romance with New York.

Inside, the four-floor space designed by Marino blends heritage and modernity in light, refined tones, with dedicated entrances for women’s and men’s universes and a sweeping Colorama staircase that traces 75 years of Dior iconography. Highlights include the first Dior Spa in the United States on the fourth floor, a standalone Dior Maison next door, and a window garden by Peter Wirtz with animatronic flora crafted from upcycled materials—Parisian savoir-faire reimagined for Midtown. Exclusive creations punctuate the opening: reimagined Lady Dior bags, limited B27 sneakers (47 pairs only), and Victoire de Castellane’s Bois de Rose jewels in pink and blue sapphire, among others.
