The ASPCA celebrated its annual Humane Awards Luncheon at The Plaza Hotel, honoring the animals, advocates, and organizations advancing its welfare mission. This year’s honorees included two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan, senior-dog advocate Steve Greig, 8-year-old hero Zayin Berry, Dogs of the Year Ralphie and the late Vivian Peyton, and South Carolina’s Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
The event was attended by numerous Palm Beachers including Arriana and Dixon Boardman, Serena Boardman, Samantha Boardman Rosen, Aerin Lauder, Emilia and J. Pepe Fanjul, Hilary Geary Ross, Elaine Langone, Donna Acquavella, Caroline Hirsch, Sharon Handler-Loeb, Betsy & Wally Turner, Jeffrey Pfeifle, Karen Klopp, Hilary Dick, Jack Lynch, Kathy Prounis and Lauren Day Roberts.
For more than 150 years, the ASPCA has been on the frontlines in the fight against animal cruelty. As the nation’s first and leading animal welfare organization, the ASPCA has assisted animals in need through on-the-ground disaster and cruelty interventions, behavioral rehabilitation, animal relocation and placement, legal and legislative advocacy, and the advancement of the sheltering and veterinary communities through research, training and resources.
