For one hundred years, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has been a lifeline for animals in need, offering everything from medical care to adoption programs and community support services. That legacy was front of mind as Palm Beach stepped into the season at Mish Fine Jewelry Studio, where Mish Tworkowski and Joseph Singer hosted a gathering in honor of Pauline Pitt, the League’s Board Chair. The event closed out the organization’s centennial year and welcomed a new season of advocacy and engagement.
More than 150 guests stopped by to toast the occasion, explore Mish’s latest designs, and meet two adoptable puppies who instantly became the center of attention. There was also good news to celebrate. Over Thanksgiving weekend, Peggy Adams placed 117 pets into new homes, one of the highest single-day totals in the organization’s history. It is just one highlight from a remarkable year in which the League continued to expand its reach through veterinary clinics, community cat programs, foster care, pet food assistance, and education initiatives. In its hundred years, the organization has touched the lives of more than 1.5 million animals.
With the Christmas Ball around the corner, the evening at Mish’s felt like a fitting tribute to one of Palm Beach’s most devoted advocates and to an organization that has shaped the community for generations.
