Since its 2002 debut, Art Basel Miami Beach has expanded far beyond the convention center walls, evolving into a week-long constellation of parties, brand activations, dinners, collaborations, and pop-ups that orbit Design Miami, Untitled, NADA, Pinta, and the fair itself. This year was no exception. The cultural programming was as ambitious as ever, and the social calendar was nearly impossible to conquer….a feat only achievable, perhaps, once Stephen Ross extends his proposed flying-taxi network beyond Palm Beach and into the rest of Miami.

Traffic aside, PALMER still managed to navigate its way into some of the week’s most standout happenings. Here is our roundup of the after-hour moments that made Miami Art Week special.

Cartier “Into The Wild”

Cartier marked the debut of Miami Art Week with Into the Wild, an immersive experience celebrating the Maison’s inseparable bond with its iconic feline. Guests followed the Panther’s story through lush, atmospheric rooms that traced her evolution from her first 1914 wristwatch appearance to the bold three-dimensional form shaped under Jeanne Toussaint. The installation showcased savoir-faire, flora-and-fauna creations, and rare archival pieces from the Cartier Collection, all culminating in the debut of the newest Panthère de Cartier designs. From sculptural, face-to-face panthers to articulated pieces that move like a living creature, the latest jewels reaffirm the Panther’s magnetic presence — a century-old emblem continually reborn with contemporary audacity.

Benedikt Taschen & Craig Robins Celebrated Bruce Weber’s My Education and Swimming by Moonlight

Benedikt Taschen, Bruce Weber

Bruce Weber brought a dose of old-school glamour to Miami Art Week with an intimate cocktail at The Moore in the Design District, celebrating his sweeping new TASCHEN monograph My Education alongside Swimming by Moonlight, a newly uncovered Chet Baker album assembled from the original Let’s Get Lost sessions. Hosted by Weber, Nan Bush, Craig Robins, and Benedikt Taschen, the evening gathered artists, designers, musicians, and cultural fixtures—including Tyson Beckford, Martina Navratilova, and Grimanesa Amoros—for a night that felt equal parts tribute and reunion. Conversations drifted between Weber’s decades of portraiture and the rediscovery of Baker’s recordings, creating one of the week’s most soulful moments amid the Art Week whirlwind.

Miu Miu’s Redesigned Store in the Miami Design District

A new chapter unfolded for Miu Miu in the Miami Design District with the reopening of its newly reimagined boutique during Miami Art Week. The evening drew fashion insiders, creatives, and friends of the house into a serene, light-filled space washed in Miu Miu blue, where glass, velvet, and brushed metal set a refined yet instinctive mood. Timed with the city’s busiest cultural week, the reopening felt less like a retail moment and more like a design statement, positioning the boutique as both a gathering point and a reflection of the brand’s intelligent, elegantly rebellious sensibility at the crossroads of art, fashion, and architecture.

Alex Prager’s Mirage Factory presented by The Cultivist and Capital One

Diana Ross

Capital One and The Cultivist presented Alex Prager’s Mirage Factory, an immersive, cinematic installation that reimagined Los Angeles through vivid technicolor sets that blur truth and illusion. Guests wandered through uncanny tableaux—from an artificial orange grove to Hollywood’s glow—before the evening continued with a special performance by the legendary Diana Ross, who serenaded the crowd with “I’m Coming Out,” “Baby Love,” and “You Can’t Hurry Love.” Award-winning chef Dave Beran, known for his precisely choreographed menus at Pasjoli and Dialogue, designed a narrative-driven dinner served inside the installation, echoing Prager’s own meticulous world-building and completing the night’s fully immersive experience.

Achille Salvagni Atelier x Manolo Blahnik Celebrate Design Miami

Achille Salvagni

Achille Salvagni Atelier and Manolo Blahnik joined forces for a gathering at The Miami Beach EDITION celebrating craftsmanship and the power of beauty. Guests explored a curated display that brought the two houses into conversation, pairing Salvagni’s sculptural Italian design with Manolo Blahnik’s Winter 25 silhouettes. At the center stood Salvagni’s striking Hera cabinet, its parchment and burnished bronze details echoing the brands’ shared devotion to Italian artisanship. Books by both creators dotted the space, and guests departed with gift bags that included bronze bees cast at the same Roman foundry as the Vatican and original Blahnik sketches. The celebration coincided with Salvagni Atelier’s Design Miami debut, “Memories of the Future,” an installation that paired 1950s Italian masterworks with the designer’s contemporary creations, including a rare 1951 Ponti-Fornasetti cabinet.

Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Closing Party

Hublot closed out Miami Art Week with full volume, marking the finale of the Big Bang’s 20th-anniversary year with a high-energy celebration at the Basement at The Miami Beach EDITION. The immersive night fused art, music, and high horology, setting the stage for the unveiling of select archival Big Bang pieces and the limited-edition Big Bang Street Art collection, crafted in cracked composite concrete and bold, UV-reactive colorways. The evening hit its peak with a surprise performance by 50 Cent, who took the stage wearing a one-of-a-kind Hublot created just for the occasion, followed by DJ sets that kept the dance floor moving well into the night. With artists, tastemakers, and friends of the brand filling the room, the event felt like a proper punctuation mark on a milestone year for one of watchmaking’s most disruptive icons.
