With the Palm Beach social season in full swing, the Historical Society of Palm Beach County gathered friends and longtime supporters on December 10 at the Sailfish Club of Florida in Palm Beach for its 23rd Annual Archival Evening, honoring distinguished philanthropists Frances and Jeffrey Fisher for their extraordinary leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to preserving the history and heritage of Palm Beach County. The reception recognized their vision and steadfast support of the Society and its mission to safeguard the County’s priceless archives and historic collections for future generations.
Founded in 1937, the Historical Society of Palm Beach County has long been the steward of the region’s collective memory, preserving the stories, records, and materials that tell the larger story of Palm Beach County and Florida. Through exhibitions, education programs, and its Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum, the Society ensures that the past remains a living part of the community’s present.
The evening drew a thoughtful mix of cultural patrons and community leaders, including Honorary Chairs Renay and William Meyer, alongside Event Chairs Carol and Tom Kirchhoff and Lee and Jeffrey Alderton. Guests mingled throughout the Sailfish Club’s storied rooms, reconnecting over a shared appreciation for one of the cultural institutions Palm Beachers hold most dear.
