On December 16, Tradewind Aviation founders Eric and David Zipkin were joined by their team and the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce at Witham Field in Stuart for a ribbon cutting marking the airline’s expanded operations and newly launched scheduled service to the Bahamas.
For Tradewind, the moment reflects more than ceremony. Over the past year, the carrier has significantly scaled its Southeast Florida presence, tripling flight capacity to the Bahamas and extending what were once seasonal routes into dependable, year-round service. Existing flights from Stuart to Marsh Harbour and North Eleuthera now operate throughout the year, while new scheduled service to Nassau has just commenced—offering a streamlined alternative to larger, more congested hubs further south.
With its manageable scale and ease of access, Witham Field has quietly become an appealing departure point for travelers who prioritize efficiency over spectacle. Tradewind’s expansion reinforces that shift, linking the Treasure Coast directly to some of the Bahamas’ most sought-after destinations in under an hour.
The airline has mirrored this growth in Fort Lauderdale as well, introducing new service to Marsh Harbour and North Eleuthera earlier this month. Across both markets, Tradewind continues to focus on short-haul routes, thoughtfully timed schedules, and a service model designed around comfort rather than volume.
Flights are now available to book through June 7, 2026, with fares starting at $229 one-way to Nassau and $249 one-way to Marsh Harbour or North Eleuthera, plus tax.
