C’est le printemps! And in Palm Beach, it was in full bloom as the French Heritage Society closed out its season on April 6 with its annual “April in Paris” luncheon at Swifty’s Hanging Garden at The Colony Hotel, in support of its preservation work.

The sold-out event was chaired by Liz McDermott Barnes and Jacqui Michel, with CeCe and Lee Black and Jean Shafiroff serving as luncheon chairmen. Guests included Jennifer Herlein and board member Elisa A. Fredrickson.

Founded to protect and sustain French architectural and cultural heritage, French Heritage Society has, over more than four decades, funded hundreds of restoration projects on both sides of the Atlantic while also supporting students through transatlantic cultural exchange programs.

It is a mission rooted as much in patrimoine as it is in people, preserving historic sites while fostering the next generation of stewards. Proceeds from the luncheon support those efforts.

The season may have closed in Palm Beach, but the calendar continues elsewhere. Upcoming events include the Dîner des Mécènes in Paris this May, followed by gatherings in New York and the Hamptons, and later, a trip through Provence.
