Despite the wind, Palm Beach showed up, all dressed in white, for the 25th annual “Barefoot on the Beach” party at The Beach Club on April 17. More than 350 guests gathered along the oceanfront for what has become one of the late season’s favorite philanthropic events, raising $650,000 in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, an organization that has shaped generations of local youth.

Founded in 1971, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County works to provide young people, especially those who need it most, with access to education, mentorship, and programs that build leadership, confidence, and opportunity. Across more than a dozen locations, the organization serves more than 46,000 children each year, offering everything from academic support to the arts, athletics, and workforce readiness. A highlight of the evening, the “Call to the Heart,” will directly fund summer camp experiences for Club members, offering a safe and enriching environment during the critical months when school is out.

“For 25 years, Barefoot on the Beach has brought our community together in a powerful way, blending generosity, tradition, and purpose,” said Jaene Miranda, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. “The impact of this evening extends far beyond the shore, creating life-changing opportunities for the young people we serve.”

The evening was led by chairs Gregory Connors, Craig Gibson Jr., Kate Lubin and Glen Sutton, Lauren Marcarelli, and Camille and Charles Schumacher Jr., with founding chairs Reid Boren, Thomas C. Quick, Wally Turner, and Taylor and Kayla Collins. Junior Chairs Alex Hamer, Whitney Schott, and Hannah Selleck brought the next gen into the fold, reinforcing the event’s sense of continuity. Whitney and Hollis Bradley Pica modeled clothing from Michelle Farmer and jewelry from FoundRae for the live auction led by Christie’s Brett Sherlock before inviting guests to dance the night away under the stars.
