“A Palm Beach State of Mind” took on new meaning in New York this past Monday as Michael Berman and Stefano Tonchi threw open the doors of Caviar Kaspia at The Mark Hotel for the New York launch of PALMER Vol. 11. The party also honored Audrey Gruss, whose private sojourn through the highest reaches of Parisian fashion is at the center of the publication in a chapter titled Paris Couture by Dana Thomas. Yet as Berman stated of the noted philanthropist and founder of Hope for Depression, “tonight we celebrate not just Audrey’s sense of style, but her heart, which is the true essence of Palm Beach”.

Over 100 guests, a mix of Palm Beachers and New Yorkers from the worlds of business, art, philanthropy, fashion, real estate, entertainment and media, lingered into the night. “It felt like the go-go 90s,” said one who clearly remembered the media days of yore.

In thanking PALMER’s many advertising partners, contributors, and supporters, Berman addressed the group by recounting, “Thirty years ago, when I first entered the magazine world here in New York, we were told in no uncertain terms that print was dead. Three decades later, I’m here to say it’s actually alive and well and thriving…it just moved a little south!”

Caviar Kaspia’s signature hors d’oeuvres festooned with caviar flowed, as did champagne and fine wines from Cimento Wines and Château Léoube. Certainly a night to remember!
