The Los Angeles County Museum of Art honored artist Judy Baca and filmmaker David Fincher this year with moving and highly emotional speeches given by Eva Longoria and Brad Pitt. The event sponsored by Gucci and hosted by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio alongside Gala Host Committee Chair, Gucci Creative Director Sabato De Sarno, blended the who’s who of art, fashion, film, and the entertainment industry. In support of LACMA’s work to make film more central in the museum’s repertoire, the Art+Film gala raised over $5 million dollars which will also fund LACMA’s efforts to create exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming that explores the intersection of art and film. A dinner followed, prepared by Michelin Star Award Winning Chef Mattia Agazzi of Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Beverly Hills, in collaboration with Chef Joachim Splichal and a special performance by Lenny Kravitz –who was introduced by a half-naked Jennifer Lopez.

PALMER’S Stefano Tonchi flew in from Palm Beach, and other supporters included: LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director Michael Govan & Katherine Ross, Gucci President and CEO Jean-François Palus, Salma Hayek & François-Henri Pinault, Ed Ruscha, Jessica Chastain, Catherine Opie, and Gucci Ambassadors: Xiao Shan, Lu Han, NiNi, KAI, Chris Lee, Hanni and Alia Bhatt.
