“Dry January” or “Dirty January”? That is the question. During the island’s peak social season, sometimes it’s good to have les deux at hand, in case you are hosting a party or decide to change your mind. From playing-it-safe mocktails to down-and-dirty cocktails, we gathered 10 recipes from Palm Beach’s favorite cocktail connoisseurs that you can choose from this month! And, as an added bonus we had a special visit from “The World’s Greatest Bartender” from The Ritz in Paris, who recommended a killer recipe of his own. So which will it be: “Dry” or “Dirty”?

SANT AMBROEUS PALM BEACH

Dry: For mocktail, our favorite Italian beverage manager Gaetano Muscatello recommends the Hagavito—Hagave spiced nectar, pink grapefruit, soda, and salt.

Dirty: For something with alcohol, the Riviera, Upstate Vodka (K), St Germain, Galliano Autentico, and mint.

FLORIE”S AT THE FOUR SEASONS PALM BEACH

Dry: Try the refreshing Juniper—seedlip, lime, basil shrub, tonic water, juniper, and mint.

Dirty: Appropriately named for the new year, sage your aura with Florie’s signature Sage cocktail—Limon & Salvia, Los Apostoles Gin, prosecco, and grapefruit.

LA GOULUE PALM BEACH

Dry: A healthy Jardin Vert, with cucumber and basil juice, simple syrup, fresh lime juice, topped with Sprite.

Dirty: If you insist… C’est La Vie cocktail. Very refreshing with Vanilla Vodka, Chinola Passion Fruit, Pineapple and fresh lemon juice.

LE BILBOQUET PALM BEACH

Dry: The ever-so-elegant Jus Jus Gabor: fresh watermelon, pineapple, and berries! Wouldn’t mind saying that three times fast.

Dirty: A clever spin on a Pimm’s Cup, this one is called C’est Mezcup! featuring Mezcal, Pimm’s, fresh ginger, lemon, and pineapple.

SWIFTY’S AT THE COLONY PALM BEACH

Dry: Try an Amalfi Breeze. Shake with rosemary and top with ginger beer. Serve on the rocks with rosemary and orange twist garnish.

Dirty: The best for last—Colin Field, former Barman extraordinaire at the legendary Bar Hemingway at The Ritz Hotel in Paris hosted a cocktail tasting at Swifty’s last night. For his cocktail specialty, he recommended: Calvados and champagne!
