Worth Avenue came alive to celebrate Gucci’s new Palm Beach boutique. The private cocktail co-hosted by PALMER Editorial Director Stefano Tonchi honored philanthropist Audrey Gruss, and featured custom-made gowns designed by the luxury Italian fashion house. Gucci also made a generous donation to the Hope for Depression Research Foundation (HDRF), which she founded and chairs.

Gruss dazzled the party in a sparkling silver Gucci top and skirt ensemble from the current collection and reminisced with Tonchi that she purchased her first Gucci handbag in Rome on Via Condotti. “I was an international marketing consultant traveling to Rome frequently. The handbag was the most beautiful burgundy shade of soft leather with an iconic bamboo handle. I wore it every day!” she recalled.

Tonchi added, “I was a middle school student when I purchased my first Gucci logo-embossed wallet. It was my most precious possession, and a special memory of shopping with my mother in Florence. The wallet cost more than the money I had to put in it.” he laughed.
