Pratesi Brings Iconic Italian Luxury to Palm Beach

The history of famed Italian linen company, Pratesi, is a testament to its rich heritage throughout the globe.

Elizabeth Taylor famously once checked out of a hotel because the room was not outfitted with Pratesi linens. Similarly, Coco Chanel insisted on only using Pratesi’s elegant linens for her Paris home. Yves Saint Laurent, Ernest Hemingway, and swan Lee Radziwill were all devotees. Since 1906, the iconic brand’s fine linens have been the choice for nobles, celebrated minds, and noted tastemakers.

Last week marked the grand opening cocktail of the new Pratesi Palm Beach boutique at 400 Hibiscus Avenue — at the corner of Peruvian Avenue, bringing back to the island its exquisite bedding, bath, and table linens. It marks the company’s first US boutique, and a return to Palm Beach after a five year hiatus. Pratesi offers its signature luxury bedding in various collections, including Angel Luxe and Paradise, hand-crafted from the finest Egyptian cotton and fibers.  Plus, the Tre Righe and Treccia Collections of hand-sewn towels, tub mats, and robes offer ultimate comfort, and the Bianchissima and Tre Righe Collections of tablecloths, napkins, runners, and placemats are divine additions to any tablescape.

The event was hosted by celebrated Interior Designer Victoria Hagan and PALMER Editorial Director Stefano Tonchi. A percentage of proceeds from the event benefited The Society of the Four Arts.

The boutique, designed by Studio Monteleone & Associates, encapsulates Pratesi’s enchanting world with travertine floors, tufted wool carpets inspired by Pratesi’s butterfly motif, aniline leather, and copper accents. It’s indisputable that Pratesi’s ultimate luxury, expert craftsmanship, and rich heritage are perfectly poised for the Palm Beach lifestyle.
